Cassandra Long

Human Design Reader, Mentor and Integrated Energy/Breathwork Practitioner

Hi!  I am Cassandra, a 6/2 projector living in the suburbs of Kansas City.   I have always been a spiritual seeker with an insatiable curiosity and zest for life.   I absolutely love exploring all sorts of archetypical systems, personality tests, psychology etc. - anything that helps me better understand myself and others – which is what led me to Human Design. My own personal exploration into my own design has been absolutely transformative for me, and I immediately knew that I wanted to share Human Design with others.  It brings me so much joy to empower and support people by leading them back to themselves!  I have been studying Human Design since 2018 both on my own and through Jes Field’s 18-month Advanced Reader training. After completing my formal training with Jes, I also supported a cohort of the Advanced Reader training as part of the teaching team.

I recently exited my successful corporate career after 20+ years in order to fully live out my dream of becoming a therapist.  I am currently working on my master’s degree at the University of Kansas and supporting others by offering Human Design, 1:1 mentoring, and integrated energy breathwork sessions.  My empathy, compassion, and ability to deeply connect with others allows me to meet you where you are at in order to help you grow, heal and embody your innate gifts!

What is Human Design?

Human design is a system that draws from traditional astrology, the chakra system, Kabbalah tree of life and the I-Ching.  It’s a relatively new science that integrates ancient systems and provides us with an energetic blueprint, like an owner’s manual for life.  It tells us how we express energy, what our energetic aura is in the world and how we receive energy from others.  The ways in which we are here to teach and where we are here to learn.  It shows us why certain people make us feel more or less capable, how we attract others, and how we can better understand our fellow humans.  It provides a way to see how we are all unique and different, but still ultimately puzzle pieces that fit together, on purpose to make the world better.  Human Design is not meant to put anyone in a box or make you feel limited!  We are all here on earth as complete beings who are meant to support and uplift one another, and Human Design shows us another way of doing just that.  Experiment with your own design, find what really resonates for you and put that in to practice. If something doesn’t resonate, let it go, it might later on.  The most important thing is to realize that you are here to learn, grow and follow your own true path.

Sometimes we seek new systems or information looking for that silver bullet.  That one thing that is going to lead us to our purpose, path or make us feel “whole”.  The truth is that our purpose is already within us.  All we are required to do is to express and live it.  Now, I know that is easier said than done, which is why I love systems like Human Design that provide us with another tool in our toolbox to help us navigate life.  So, what gets in the way?  Often, it’s our conditioning.  It’s who we were told to be early on and throughout life.  It’s who we feel like we “should” be or not.  We spend a lot of our time and precious energy trying to figure out what everyone else wants us to be or how we can be more in line with what other people’s vision of us is.  Human Design asks us to turn inward to what we already know.  To really see ourselves and explore what our innate gifts and talents are.  We often have qualities and characteristics that we deny or hide away because it doesn’t fit with what society wants us to be or who our parents wanted us to be. Returning to these parts of ourselves helps us to really integrate and fully express ourselves in the world.  I believe that we are all here to be impactful.  We are all here with a purpose!  That doesn’t mean that we can all be the next Oprah, but it does mean that we are all here to do great things, even in small ways.  When you change your life or impact the life of another, you change the world.
